 Philosophy
Hydraulic Mudpumps Inc. believes that a well designed pump should be backed by an organization of employees who know how to raise concrete slabs.  Since 1974, HMI has been developing and refining slabjacking equipment based on input from our customers and employees in the field.
We know our equipment works because we use it every day. Our customers success is just as important as our own success.

History

RaiseRite Concrete Lifting, Inc. began in 1974.  At that time, the only slab raising pumps on the market were mechanical pumps designed in the 1950’s.  RaiseRite’s founder, Ernest Cvetezar,  designed and developed the first fully hydraulic slab raising pump.  Hydraulic Mudpumps, Inc. was launched in 1979 to manufacture the HM-1 hydraulic mudpump.

The Power Pump series was launched in 1990.  This slabjacking pump is self-propelled, with a low hopper height, which makes it easy to load.  Other features include a remote control and the addition of a second pumping cylinder, which doubled the speed at which the material is pumped.

Customer demand prompted HMI to develop and manufacture a totally hydraulic mortar mixer the following year.  This was another innovation for the slabjacking industry because it eliminated the use of gears and belts to drive the paddles of the mixer, making them much more dependable.

As the mudjacking industry grew, it became apparent that slab raising pumps needed to be multi-functional.  At the 2001 World of Concrete Convention, Hydraulic Mudpumps introduced the VersaPump series of slabjacking pumps.  A new check ball chamber and pumping piston allows this pump to pump 3/8” minus pea gravel concrete.  The introduction to the VersaPump 1 and the VersaPump 2 included joystick steering and auxiliary hydraulics.  The VersaPump can be driven like a skid steer.

HMI is proud of all its innovations and products, but perhaps the greatest innovation is the Quik Mix Pro automated volumetric hopper/mixer unit.  The first fully automated unit rolled off the production line in March of 2003.  This slabjacking unit, when mounted on a truck body, can carry a slab raising pump, dry material, cement, and water.  Along with its unique twin shafted mixer, it can automatically mix and place material into the hopper of a pump.  No shoveling is required!

Expanding beyond just the slabjacking industry, in 2008 HMI developed a revolutionary new Hydraulic Power Pack 10.  With a new 2 in 1 design it offers 10,000 psi at 1 ½ gallons per minute, or 3,000 psi at 9 gallons per minute. Not only is the unit great as a seperate hydraulic power pack for running hydraulic tools (mixers and mudpumps), piering contractors can use it to install helical and resistance piers.

Hydraulic Mudpumps, Inc. is committed to future refinements and development to its product line.  Our future will be determined by requests from you, our customer, and the upcoming industry demands.
